COMMUNITY SERVICE: PRO SWEEP INC COMMITS TO SERVING THE COMMUNITY IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE
Community service is an important part of Pro-Sweep Inc.’s philosophy. Not only do we provide our clients’ services that help maintain the appearance of the greater Bay Area, but we also do our part to make the community a better place to live for all. Giving back to our community is at the core of Pro-Sweep’s company values. Pro-Sweep Inc. is currently involved with community service groups including Sacred Heart Community Services, Santa Clara University’s Ignatius Center’s Thriving Neighbors initiative, Cristo Rey San José High School and the San Jose Conservation Corp.
SACRED HEART COMMUNITY CENTER
Every year Pro-Sweep Inc. participates in and contributes to Sacred Heart’s annual holiday food and toy drive to help families in need. For more than 50 years, Sacred Heart Community Services has been providing holiday food boxes, to families that need help. With the increase in rent and the number of households falling below the poverty line, families struggle to celebrate holiday traditions. Sacred Heart relies on the support and donations from individuals and companies like Pro-Sweep Inc. to ensure the success of its holiday program. In the true spirit of the holiday season, Pro-Sweep’s team shops for and donates hundreds of toys and bikes to Sacred Heart Community Service’s Toy Box, in hopes of making Christmas a bit merrier for children in need.
SANTA CLARA UNIVERSITY”S IGNATIAN CENTER”S THRIVING NEIGHBORS INITITAVE
The Thriving Neighbors Initiative is an engaged scholarship, teaching, and sustainable development initiative facilitated by SCU’s Ignatian Center for Jesuit Education. The Initiative’s main focus is predominately Latino Communities where families face significant barriers that impede their ability to live healthy and productive lives. Pro-Sweep Inc. supports Santa Clara University’s Ignatian Center’s Thriving Neighbors initiative to encourage high-impact, community-engaged practice that enhances research and learning for the common good.
CRISTO REY SAN JOSE HIGH SCHOOL
Cristo Rey San José is a Jesuit, Catholic high school that empowers students from challenged communities in East San José to be men and women for others who are prepared spiritually, academically, and professionally to complete college and who will become accomplished leaders committed to a lifelong pursuit of learning, faith, and justice. Pro-Sweep Inc. supports Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit High School’s commitment to providing underserved students with an excellent college-prep curriculum and a unique four-year, integrated corporate work/study experience. Pro-Sweep employs a team of Cristo Rey student interns, with a paid work experience internships, along with hosting student retreats, and providing scholarship assistance.
SAN JOSE CONSERVATION CORP
San Jose Conservation Corp provides at-risk young men and women with hands on learning, academic, life and work development skills. These skills include leadership, communication, computer literacy, and employment training which will help them to advance and excel in their future and careers. The San Jose Conservation Corps & Charter School is a non-profit organization that provides youth with a quality high school education and teaches valuable work and life skills that empower them to become responsible, productive, and caring citizens. Pro-Sweep Inc.’s founder and president, Rich Saso, is a former member of the San Jose Conservation Corp. Board of Trustees. Pro-Sweep also provides job opportunities to youth to develop and excel their future careers.
